Hurt people hurt people. If we hurt those who hurt they will hurt while they hurt. We need to heal.
90% of what 90% of people believe is wrong. 90% of all suffering is because of this.
We live in a society riven by forms of abuse, abuses of power, financial abuses, war crimes and political deceit. In this climate sexual abuse is only an extreme example of the fundamental sickness in our society. We refuse to see ourselves as capable of harm, or culpable, yet we cause harm every day.
I hope some day that these natural disasters will wake us up to the importance of our environment - both nature and our neighbours - not only in forcing us to think about the climate but also about what matters in life.

Since I find highways slightly less interesting than examining my toenail clippings I will instead focus on how this story acts as a great example of how this country tears itself in half by remaining stubbornly and deliberately blind to how things are.
