We use ridiculous phrases like ‘you’re entitled to your opinion’, when we are not. We are entitled to hold an acceptable opinion, which is a very different thing – especially given how hard it can be to work out exactly what is acceptable at any given moment.

I am going to try and make this blog somewhere where you’re entitled to any opinion which roots itself in compassion; which might reasonably be said to come from a place of healing and not harm; which seeks to enquire, explain or even just cry-out – as long as it never seeks to injure, insult or make empty complaints.
