No Better Time – A Poem

As I rise I see outside

The boundaries of me

My house diminishes

From sanctuary to sand grain

Everything is plain

All the wasted misery

That fed nothing but vanity

I am only salt dissolved in waves

Ready at last

To grasp the gift you gave

Resolve my mistakes

I reach the golden gates

The world is insane and I'm in writing therapy!

  1. Oh, not yet, for a long time, I hope. I do love the perspective here, though. Your sanctuary small as (or even smaller) than a grain of sand. Beautiful, Mike. #18B, 17R.

  2. I am only salt dissolved in waves….this I adore!
#274 #45….. and yup no idea what you two are talking about πŸ˜‰

Sweet. “Salt dissolved in waves” is genius. A description I can see and feel. Great poem.

  5. It reminds me a bit of the poems a would TRY to write (sad but beautiful) although they didn’t turn out quite as nicely as yours did! I love it:)

Hi RoS, As I meet new bloggers, I am always impressed by, not only creative blogs, but those blogs that can create readership, and participate as engaged readers in others’ blogs. That is the reason (and others) I have nominated you for the Wonderful Team Member Readership Award. Enjoy it as a compliment. Marsha πŸ™‚

Oh Poppet – what a dilemma you have given me!!
Do have a quick peek here…

So, now I ask, do I stay true to RoS, or keep the spirit of C4C!?
As it is almost still Xmas, I will offer you the choice πŸ™‚

      • tchistorygal says:

Sweet RoS, you are not in a dilemma. I’m sorry I didn’t read your warning sign. I just love your efforts with C4C, and the posts I read. I easily miss things, and since I chose all new people, I just hadn’t seen everything yet. Just tell yourself, “Marsha loves my site and my spirit of blogging, and that’s nice.” Then go on with life and blogging as normal. How does that work for you? The NoBlog Zone is why I also do the Featured Blog on some of my posts. It’s just a compliment, not an obligation. Lots of love, Marsha Lee πŸ™‚

Cool – you could have asked for a rant! But in the spirit of C4C I take the compliment, Thank you deeply, and move on πŸ™‚
        Panda ((HUGS))

      • tchistorygal says:

        What’s a rant? Maybe I’d like a rant????

      • UndercoverL says:

Fierce Panda’s rants are scathing at 25% meanness. Before you know it, he will air your dirty laundry and you’ll feel terrible about yourself. Just a friendly warning…

      • tchistorygal says:

hahaha Thanks I wouldn’t want that!!! I had that happen to me in a parking lot in San Diego once. A male colleague, for some unknown reason fished around in an open pocket of MY suitcase, and pulled out dirty underwear and waved it over his head like a flag daring the owner to get it back!!!
No I do NOT want my dirty laundry aired EVER again!!!! Thanks for the warning. Just for that (and for my own safety) I’m following you!!! πŸ™‚

      • UndercoverL says:

Wow… underwear being in the open. You just reminded me of another experience I need to blog about. πŸ˜‰

      • tchistorygal says:

It wasn’t in the open. I just hadn’t zipped the zipper, and he decided to explore!!!

      • UndercoverL says:

Doesn’t make it fair game… just saying. And it’s a good thing you aren’t a guy because their zippers are never done up. Am I right?

      • tchistorygal says:

That’s a problem! Unfortunately for me Phil’s was, and my luggage wasn’t! πŸ™‚

      • ruleofstupid says:

You’d have to read the others (see the awards page πŸ™‚ ) – Maybe you would!?

      • tchistorygal says:

No thanks. I’ve been warned off!!! I didn’t read the others. If I had read all of that FIRST, then I would have known better. I just fell in love with your kindness first creating the C4C. I overlooked the rants. hahaha!! So sorry. No rants please! πŸ™‚

I think I can finally understand one of your poems. Yes, yardwork in England is a waste if time and money… Especially if you rent.

  8. unfetteredbs says:

well after reading the comments.. I really do not have much to say there Mr. Panda that has not already been said. I do love the images and the resolution in the end. Well done.. but you knew that already

  9. towards the end of the continent.

You can tell me anything (yes, even that!)
