Resolve – A Poem

This wall

Between us

Brick by brick

Although it breaks my back

I cannot stop

Although you might have gone

I cannot stop

One mayfly hope

Enough

To eclipse

The mocking sun

Words and smiles

Other faces

Crumbs that offer

Strength

Although

Although

I cannot stop

All the fuel I take in

May as well be dripped

Straight onto the bricks

To mix with my nails and skin

Soften the unyielding

I cannot stop

Against this concrete horizon

The trembling prayer

That you will wait

On the other side

This is for my best friend – who knows why. xx

      1. Panda’s mate for life you know.

Not like marriage. It’s just that we have barbed penises and once we start that’s it. It’s why we don’t breed in captivity, though the Vets haven’t worked it out 😉

You can tell me anything (yes, even that!)
