The truth about being alone in the world

We very often believe we are struggling while everyone else is doing alright.

This is a lie.

Everyone is struggling – there are just some people who are good at hiding it.

The reason this myth goes on is because we are afraid we are struggling while everyone else is doing all right.

Not talking about our fears is like trying to escape a monster by locking ourselves in a room with it.

We are only alone until we come out to play.

The most common experience when we finally talk is that we make other people feel relieved that they finally have someone to talk to.

These are our new friends.

Be your own agent for change.

  1. I like this… I like it a lot actually… we tend hide in a place of fear and shame, which festers when locked up inside… (I love your analogy of hiding from the monster by locking ourselves in a room with it)… But when we finally start to talk – well at first it totally hurts like hell and all the yuck comes tumbling out – but then something wonderful happens – it no longer has a strangle hold on us and we begin to feel better and are able to heal… it seems that through professing how we really feel, what he have done, or what we have been through, we find release and acceptance and forgiveness… and when we receive those form others it is good, but when we receive those from ourselves it is freeing ❤

You can tell me anything (yes, even that!)
