Lies, damn lies and statistics – and damn stupid statistics!!

A firm of personal injury solicitors have done some research (and they’re solicitors, so they would never lie) and found the ‘unluckiest names’. This is based on who has made claims for injuries and goes as follows:

Female – 1. Joanne, 2. Emma, 3. Clare, 4. Karen, 5. Lisa

Male – 1. David, 2. James, 3. Stephen, 4. Andrew, 5. Chris

Now, before all you Andrews and Clares and Emmas and so on start lagging yourselves with foam padding and refusing to leave the house, let me point out (as if I need to) that this all a load of balls.

Remember, these are the most common names of claimants. That does not mean these people are most likely to have an accident, it means they’re the most likely to sue over it – the litigious, responsibility denying, penny stealing bastards! So don’t have sympathy – next time you meet James from the office, or Lisa from the gym, poke them in the bloody eye! (actually don’t, they’ll sue… poke someone called Norman, they’ll probably just run home and cry about it).

Of course, it could just be that these are the most common names for the age group 24-50, the most likely to be in any accident… but that’s crazy talk!

    1. Indeed – hence the comment: Of course, it could just be that these are the most common names for the age group 24-50, the most likely to be in any accident… but that’s crazy talk!
All the same, tempted to change my name to Happy Flower – how could I ever frown again!?

You can tell me anything (yes, even that!)
