Western Mind – A Poem

Western Mind

Beginning what will not commence,

Insulting yet without offence,

Coherence without any sense,

Security with no defence,

Riches that cannot be spent,

Meaning it without intent,

The perfect smell that has no scent,

Permission that is not consent,

To stop and yet to not prevent,

A consequential non-event,

Merging that which never blends,

Companions who are never friends,

An actor who cannot pretend,

Healing what will never mend,

A fashion craze that’s not a trend,

A corner that will never bend,

Compensation with no amends,

Finishing what will never end

You can tell me anything (yes, even that!)
